News brought to you by IQPC.

Managers in the healthcare sector must ensure they are up to scratch when it comes to things like Lean Six Sigma, according to one expert.

Phil Slinger, spokesperson for the Institute of Healthcare Management (IHM), explained that its work in the sector means it is crucial all its staff members are aware of the latest trends.

He said: "Our members abide by the Healthcare Management Code which requires managers to keep their skills and competences up to date."

For this reason, IHM will be ensuring its members are fully trained in Lean Six Sigma related methodologies, he added.

IHM is the professional organisation for managers in the healthcare sector, including those within the National Health Service.

Recently, A Ramesh Kumar, chairman of the Small and Medium Business Development Chamber of India, called on organisations of all sizes to embrace Six Sigma, as it offers real benefits to their bottom line.ADNFCR-1942-ID-19408762-ADNFCR
