Lloyds register on winning the Best Project in Service and Transaction:
The success of the cross functional project team and that we are tackling a fundamental product of our core business were major factors in the judges decision in awarding us the Best Process Improvement Project in Service and Transaction" stated Des Gutteridge, Marine Quality Manager. "The project would not have got anywhere without the expertise involved, operational leader involvement, the project controls and benefits from the Six Sigma DMAIC approach. Of course we couldn't have implemented the global system without our Area Technical Performance Managers and the office staff, Surveyor and authorising Surveyors efforts and enthusiasm. Well done again to everyone."
John Ranjit, General Manager, Sutherland Global Services speaks on what winning the award for ‘Best Operational Excellence in Financial Services' meant to the business:
"First of all it is great to be back at the IQPC Process Excellence Summit – it's a wonderful feeling & an honour to be shortlisted in 3 categories this year. We at Sutherland leverage the IQPC Process Excellence Summit for benchmarking our Lean-Six Sigma practices through competition with other practitioners. And when it comes to WINNING the IQPC's award for Best Operational Excellence Project in Financial Services, our joy has no boundaries. The interactions with the judges were a true learning experience and the knowledge exchange workshops kindled our thinking. Thank you IQPC for organizing such an enriching Process Excellence Summit"
Michael Howarth, Group Business Assurance Programme Leader on the origins of their (winner of best start-up programme)
"The Lloyd's Register Business Assurance Programme encompasses the definition and implementation of a new five year strategy, the development and implementation of balanced scorecards and KPIs to measure business performance, the Management Control Systems that provide the management structure to review and monitor business performance, and a comprehensive business improvement programme delivering significant change projects globally. We decided to take on the challenge to tackle to ‘difficult to implement stuff' first, as we knew that this would provide us with the foundations for success, and to allow us to directly align our improvement activities with the strategy goals of the organisation."
